Bicky Chakraborty
Barun Kumar “Bicky” Chakraborty (28 August 1943 – 26 August 2022) was an Indian-born Swedish businessman. He was the president and founder of Elite Hotels of Sweden and The Bishop's Arms. He was counted as one of the richest men in Scandinavia. Biography Chakraborty came to Sweden from Calcutta, India in 1966 to study Sociology at the Stockholm University. He saw that student dormitories were empty over the summer and began pushing the dorm Domus as a discount hotel to rent out those who were located near Stureplan in Stockholm. Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty (born 25 December 1952) is a Hindustani classical vocalist, composer, lyricist and an exponent of the Patiala-Kasur gharana. He was awarded with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award in India in 2020 and the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India in 2011. Bonnie Chakraborty is an Indian playback singer. he was the lead vocalist of Kolkata based band Krosswindz until 1998. Abani Chakravarty was an Indian humanitarian poet of the late twentieth century Assamese literature. Apart from original poetry his works included two novelettes and translations of the third-world poetry. Early life Chakravarty was born in Nalbari subdivision (now Nalbari district) of Undivided Kamrup district of Assam, India on 3 January 1941 to a Brahmin family. Abani started contributing to the Assamese literature prolifically in the 1960s and continued to do so until the 1990s. He was influential in the world of Assamese poetry and literature before he disappeared on a cold Saturday evening on 12 November 1994 from his Kharguli residence in Guwahati. Birendra Narayan Chakraborty (also Birendra Narayan Chakravarty) (20 December 1904 – 26 March 1976) was an Indian civil servant, politician and the second governor of Haryana. He attended Kolkata's Scottish Church College, and continued his education at the University of Calcutta. He joined University College London for a BSc in chemistry in 1926. After further studies for the Indian Civil Service examinations at the School of Oriental Studies, London, he passed the examinations in 1928 and joined the ICS in October 1929 as an assistant collector and magistrate in the Bengal Presidency. Ambika Chakrabarty (January 1892 – 6 March 1962) was an Indian independence movement activist and revolutionary. Later, he was a leader of the Communist Party of India and a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Revolutionary activities Ambika Chakrabarty's father's name was Nanda Kumar Chakarabarty. He was a member of Chittagong Jugantar party. He took part in the Chittagong armoury raid led by Surya Sen. On 18 April 1930, he led a group of revolutionaries, who destroyed the entire communication system in Chittagong. On 22 April 1930, he was seriously injured in the gunfight with the British army in Jalalabad. But he was able to escape. After a few months, he was arrested by the police from his hideout and sentenced to death.
