Chaklala
Chaklala is a major suburban town of Rawalpindi in the Punjab (Pakistan), Punjab province of Pakistan. It covers an area of (8,405 acres). The population of the town is 333,115 according to the 2023 census. Chaklala Cantonment is one of the three components of Rawalpindi Tehsil (sub-district) together with Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation and Rawalpindi Cantonment. The tehsil is part of the wider Islamabad–Rawalpindi metropolitan area, which has a population of more than 6 million people. It is situated astride the Airport Road, to the east of Grand Trunk Road on the main railway line. The town has its own railway station Chaklala Railway Station which is located less than 1 kilometer away from Benazir Bhutto International Airport. On the west, it is bordered by Islamabad Expressway being connected through the Koral interchange. PAF Base Nur Khan
PAF Base Nur Khan (originally founded as RAF Chaklala and formerly known as PAF Station Chaklala and PAF Base Chaklala) is a major Pakistan Air Force airbase located in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, Punjab province. The former Benazir Bhutto International Airport is integrated into the airbase's infrastructure. The base also hosts educational institutions such as PAF College, Chaklala, dedicated to Aviation Cadets, and Fazaia Inter College Nur Khan. The base is part of Federal Air Command. Benazir Bhutto International Airport
Benazir Bhutto International Airport (, ) is an airport which formerly served the Islamabad–Rawalpindi metropolitan area. It was the second-largest airport by air traffic in Pakistan, until 1 May 2018 when it was replaced by the new Islamabad International Airport. Also known as Chaklala Airbase, it was renamed after the late Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto (1953–2007) in June 2008. The airport handled 4,767,860 passengers in 2015–16, compared to 3,610,566 in 2010–11. The airport was located in the area of Chaklala in Rawalpindi, which neighbours Islamabad. Jinnah Park () is an amusement and public park located on Airport Road in the high-security Chaklala Cantonment suburb of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It is the town's primary amusement park and covers an area of approximately . Initial plans for its development began as early as 1995 and it was opened in 2006. Islamabad Expressway
The Islamabad Expressway (), sometimes also referred to as Islamabad Highway, is a major north–south expressway in Islamabad, Capital Territory, Pakistan. The expressway provides quick access between the Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Punjab, connecting the national capital with the N-5 National Highway. It stretches from Zero Point Interchange with the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad to Rawat, Islamabad Capital Territory on the N-5 National Highway. The total length of the expressway is , with lanes varying from six to ten. In 2007, the Capital Development Authority proposed to build three new interchanges on the highway at Koral Chowk, Lehtrar Road and Dhok Kala Khan Road to make it signal free.
