Chakhesang Naga
The Chakhesangs are a major Naga ethnic group found in the Indian state of Nagaland. Chakhesangs were previously known as the former Eastern Angamis, now recognized as a separate ethnic group. The Chakhesangs are divided into two groups known as Chokri and Khezha. The name "Chakhesang" was created as an acronym from the names of three ethnic groups: the Chakrü (Chokri), Khezha and Southern Sangtam (now Pochury). Most of the villages fall within Phek District of Nagaland. Two Chakhesang villages (Jessami and Soraphung/Krowemi) are located in the Ukhrul District of Manipur. Chokri Language

For Arabic-based name Chokri, see Shukri'' Chokri, (also known as Chakrü, Chakhesang and Eastern Angami) is one of three languages spoken by the Chakhesang Naga of Phek district, Nagaland state, India. There are also some Chokri speakers residing in the Senapati District of Manipur. In 1991, it was estimated that there were 20,000 native Chokri speakers. Sangtam Naga
The Sangtams are one of the major Naga ethnic group native to Kiphire District of Nagaland, India. Like many other ethnic groups in Northeast India, they practice jhum, or shifting cultivation. Unlike other Naga ethnic groups in Nagaland, many of the Sangtam have retained their traditional beliefs in spite of embracing Christianity at the same time. Sangtams celebrate twelve different festivals, in particular ''Mungmung'', all of which are affiliated with their traditional culture and religion. The Sangtam people are one of the major ethnic groups in Nagaland. Towards the Southern part of Nagaland, we have the Sangtam inhabited area under the Kiphire District. Pochury Naga
Pochury is a Naga tribe of Nagaland, India. The tribe's native territory is located in the eastern part of the Phek district, centered at Meluri town (160 km from the state capital Kohima). History The Pochury identity is of relatively recent origin. It is a composite tribe formed by three Naga communities: Kupo, Kuchu and Khuri. The word Pochury is an acronym formed by the names of three native villages of these tribes: Sapo, Kuchu and Kwiry. According to the Pochuri legends, these villages fought battles against each others, but united into a single tribe after their elders negotiated peace. Besides the three main communities, migrants belonging to the Sangtam and Rengma tribes have also been absorbed in the Pochury group. Mülhüpra Vero
Mülhüpra Vero (1934–2020) was an Indian politician and the first member of parliament from among the Naga people. He was the recipient of the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2006 for his contribution to the social work. Early life In 1934, Vero was born in Rünguzu village in present-day Phek District. He began his studies at the Middle School in Chozuba, and completed his matriculation from Government High School Kohima in 1956. He completed his BA from St. Edmund's College, Shillong in 1959. Political life When the Official Languages (Amendment) Bill was tabled in the Rajya Sabha in December 1967, Vero demanded that English be continued for an indefinite period both at the centre and in states as Nagaland had already adopted English as its official language. Chekrovolü Swüro
Chekrovolü Swüro (born 21 November 1982) is an Indian Archery, archer from Nagaland. She represented India in archery in the 2002 Asian Games and 2006 Asian Games held at Busan, South Korea, and Doha, Qatar, respectively. She was a member of the silver medal-winning team in the 2011 World Archery Championships, held at Turin, Italy. By winning a silver medal in the team event at the 2011 World Archery Championships in Turin, she qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in both women's individual and team archery. Personal life Swüro lives in Chümoukedima, Nagaland. She serves as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Nagaland Armed Police (NAP). Her elder sister, Vesüzolü S. Zhokhoi Chüzho is an Indian actor from Nagaland. He is well known in Nagaland for starring in the 2017 film '' Nana: A Tale of Us'' which was a critical and commercial success in the state. His other role includes ''Little boy'' (2019), ''Enter My World'' (2020) and ''Nani Teri Morni'' (2020). Chüzho is serving as the President of Rising Youth under the Rising People's Party (RPP) since April 2022. Ukhrul District
Ukhrul district ( Meitei pronunciation:/ˈuːkˌɹəl or ˈuːkˌɹʊl/) is an administrative district of the state of Manipur in India with its headquarters at Ukhrul, that is Hunphun.
