Chaitanya (consciousness)
Chaitanya () refers variously to 'awareness', 'consciousness', 'Conscious Self', 'intelligence' or 'Pure Consciousness'. It can also mean energy or enthusiasm. The meaning of name Chaitanya also stands for "State of Conscious Energy". Etymology It is derived from cetanā (), which refers to life, living things or consciousness itself. Scripture In the Rig Veda (R.V.IV.XL.5), ''Nrishad'' is the dweller amongst humans; ''Nrishad'' is explained as ''Chaitanya'' or 'Consciousness' or ''Prana'' or 'vitality' because both dwell in humans. In his commentary on the Isha Upanishad, Sri Aurobindo explains that the Ātman (Hinduism), Atman, the Self manifests through a seven-fold movement of Prakrti. Life
Life, also known as biota, refers to matter that has biological processes, such as Cell signaling, signaling and self-sustaining processes. Vyapti
Vyapti, a Sanskrit expression, in Hindu philosophy refers to the state of pervasion. It is considered as the logical ground of inference which is one of the means to knowledge. No conclusion can be inferred without the knowledge of vyapti. Vyapti guarantees the truth of conclusion. It signifies the relation of invariable concomitance between "''hetu''" and "''sadhya''" and is of two kinds. Vyapti between terms of unequal extension is called "''asamavyavyapti''" or "''visamavyapti''", and vyapti between equal extensions is called "''samavyapti''". Vritti
Vritti (Vrutti) (Sanskrit: वृत्ति, Harvard-Kyoto: vṛtti, Gujarati: વૃત્તિ), means "streams of consciousness", it is also a technical term used in yoga with five specifically defined "movements of thought" which can both help or hinder us; cf. cittavṛtti. Outside of yoga, the scope of the idea is very broad, referring not only to thoughts and perceptions experienced when awake, dreaming, or asleep, but also to super-physical perceptions, as in any altered state of consciousness. Vritti has also been translated as "waves" or "ripples" of disturbance upon the otherwise calm waters of the mind.
