Chairman Of Reform UK
The Chairman of Reform UK (formerly the Brexit Party) is a position within Reform UK, a political party in the United Kingdom. The office is currently held by the millionaire British entrepreneur, Zia Yusuf, since July 2024. The office was first held by Richard Tice from May 2019 to March 2021 under the leadership of Nigel Farage. Tice left the role in order to replace Farage as leader of the party. With Tice's departure this left the role vacant until 2024 when he reassumed the role when he stepped down as party leader to allow Nigel Farage to return to the role for the upcoming general election. In July 2024, during a re-shuffle of Reform's leadership team Tice was replaced as chairman by Zia Yusuf. Tice became deputy leader in this re-shuffle. Zia Yusuf
Muhammad Ziauddin Yusuf (born 1986/1987) is a British businessman and political campaigner who has been the Chairman of Reform UK, a right-wing populist political party, since 11 July 2024. Early life Muhammad Ziauddin Yusuf was born in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. His parents migrated from Sri Lanka to the UK in the 1980s, and both worked for the NHS. His father is a doctor and his mother is a nurse. Yusuf was educated at the fee-charging Hampton School in west London, where he won a 50% scholarship and met his future business partner, Alex Macdonald. Yusuf earned a BSc in international relations from the London School of Economics in 2009. The Leader of Reform UK (formerly the Brexit Party) is the highest position in Reform UK. The current holder is Nigel Farage, who became leader on 3 June 2024, previously having served in the position from 2019 to 2021. The longest serving leader of the party was Richard Tice having served 3 years and 90 days. The shortest serving was Catherine Blaiklock who was leader for 60 days. The office was first held by Catherine Blaiklock from 20 January to 20 March of 2019. She resigned as leader when it was disclosed that she had made Islamophobia, anti-Islamic and racist statements online. Richard James Sunley Tice (born 13 September 1964) is a British businessman and right wing politician who has been Leader of Reform UK since 6 March 2021. Tice was CEO of the real estate group CLS Holdings from 2010 to 2014, after which he became CEO of the property asset management group Quidnet Capital LLP. He was a founder and co-chairman of the pro-Brexit campaign groups Leave.EU and Leave Means Leave.
