Chainpur Block, Gumla
Chainpur block is a CD block that forms an administrative division in the Chainpur subdivision of Gumla district, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History Before 1920 Chainpur was a part of Kulmunda Estate and ruled by the Khawas (khas) zamindars and Jagidars of the Kulmunda estate. Albert Ekka, was born in village Jari, earlier in Chainpur CD block, now in Albert Ekka (Jari) CD block. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for valour in the face of the enemy. Gumla became a subdivision of Ranchi district in 1902 and it became a separate district in 1983. Simdega district was carved out of Gumla district in 2011. Subsequently, Gumla district was divided into three subdivisions – Gumla Sadar subdivision (with Gumla, Ghaghra, Bharno, Bishunpur, Raidih and Sisia blocks), Basia subdivision (with Palkot, Basia and Kamdara blocks), and Chainpur subdivision (with Chainpur, Albert Ekka (Jari) and Dumri blocks). Chainpur is a village in the Chainpur CD block in the Chainpur subdivision of the Gumla district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Chainpur is a village and corresponding community development block in Kaimur district of Bihar, India. It is located 11 km west of the district headquarters of Bhabua. the village population was 11,306 in 1,653 households, while the block population was 187,692 in 30,189 households. The main village Chainpur was also before known as Malikpur on the name of zamindar Malik Khan. Chainpur was established in early 1600s. Chainpur, Saharsa, Bihar
Chainpur is one of the largest villages of Saharsa District in the Indian state of Bihar in North-East India, and is in the Kosi Division. In the revenue documents, it is mentioned as 'Chainpur Uttar Khand'. Chainpur has a number of tolas and occasionally called Pubari, Pachhwari, Uttarwari and Dakshinwari tola. Chainpur Municipality
Chainpur is a municipality in Sankhuwasabha District in the Koshi Province of north-eastern Nepal. It was formed by merging five villages i.e. Chainpur, Siddhakali, Siddhapokhari, Baneshwar and Kharang. The municipality was implemented on 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4933 people in 948 households. Chainpur is an ancient market place of the eastern region of Nepal. It has been famous for hundreds of years for the Karuwa, a special kind of water mug with a pipe tap sculptured with artistic carving on exterior of it. Chainpur is an ancient town in Jaya Prithvi Municipality and headquarters of Bajhang District in the Seti Zone of north-western Nepal.
