Chad Smith (2020s Pitcher)
Rodney Chad Smith (born June 8, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and Oakland Athletics. Career Smith graduated from McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama. He enrolled at Wallace State Community College, where he played college baseball for two years. The Cleveland Indians selected him in the 23rd round of the 2015 MLB draft. He did not sign with Cleveland, and transferred to the University of Mississippi, where he played college baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels. Miami Marlins The Miami Marlins selected Smith in the 11th round, 323rd overall, of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, and signed with the Marlins. Albuquerque Isotopes
The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They play home games at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an elevation of above sea level. In 2003, the Calgary Cannons moved from Alberta to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes playing in the Pacific Coast League. The team was affiliated with the Florida Marlins until 2008, the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2009 to 2014 and the Colorado Rockies since 2015. The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team represents the University of Mississippi in NCAA Division I college baseball. The team participates in the of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They are currently coached by Mike Bianco and play at Swayze Field. They have competed in the College World Series six times, with their first national championship coming in 2022. Jeffrey Kelley Criswell (born March 10, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Criswell attended Portage Central High School in Portage, Michigan. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 35th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at the University of Michigan where he played college baseball. In 2018, Criswell's freshman year at Michigan, he went 3–2 with a 2.23 earned run average in 24 relief appearances. In 2018, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In baseball, a save ( SV or S) is credited to a pitcher who finishes a game for the winning team under certain circumstances. A save can be earned by entering a game in which his team is leading by three or fewer runs and finishing the game by pitching at least one inning without losing the lead; entering the game with the tying run in the on-deck circle, at the plate or on the bases and finishing the game; or by pitching at least three innings in relief and finishing the game regardless of how many runs your team was winning by when entering the game. The Greensboro Grasshoppers are a Minor League Baseball team based in Greensboro, North Carolina. They are members of the South Atlantic League and are the High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
