Cerro Veronese ( cim, kame Cire; vec, El Sèro) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about west of Venice and about north of Verona. Cimbrian ( cim, zimbar, links=no, ; german: Zimbrisch; it, cimbro) refers to any of several local Upper German varieties spoken in northeastern Italy. The speakers of the language are known as ''Zimbern'' in German. Cimbrian is a Germanic language related to Bavarian most probably deriving from a Southern Bavarian dialect. It is also related to the Mòcheno language.
