Cerni Escalé Cabré (born 23 June 1987) is an Andorran politician who heads the Concord political party. He is the Leader of the Opposition of Andorra since his election to the General Council (Andorran national parliament) in 2023 as well as a deputy to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.. Biography Escalé was born to a mother who was a teacher and a father who was a ski and tennis instructor. He partially attributes his political views to being educated in the Andorran system, rather than the French and Spanish curricula that are also available in the principality. Escalé graduated in political sciences from the Pompeu Fabra University, then obtained a master's certificate in European law from Sciences Po after being admitted on a scholarship from the Generalitat de Catalunya. General Council (Andorra)
The General Council (, ) is the unicameral parliament of Andorra. It is sometimes referred to as the General Council of the Valleys (Catalan: ''Consell General de les Valls'') because it was the historical name and to distinguish it from similarly named bodies in the Val d'Aran and in France. Xavier Espot Zamora (born 30 October 1979) is an Andorran judge and politician who has served as Prime Minister of Andorra and President of the Democrats for Andorra since 2019. He previously served as Minister of Social Affairs, Justice, and the Interior from 2012 to 2019. Escaldes–Engordany () is one of the seven parishes of Andorra. The Escaldes–Engordany parish was founded in 1978 by being separated from Andorra la Vella.
