Cergy-Pontoise
Cergy-Pontoise () is a new town and an agglomeration community in France, in the Val-d'Oise and Yvelines departments, northwest of Paris on the river Oise. It owes its name to two of the communes that it covers, Cergy and Pontoise. Its population is 206,654 (2017), in an area of 84.2 km2. Created in the 1970s, it became an agglomeration community in 2004. It is located from the centre of Paris, in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s, of which it is the central and most populated commune. Pontoise () is a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris, in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise. Jouy-le-Moutier
Jouy-le-Moutier () is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department, in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the center of Paris, in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s. History The name ''Jouy-le-Moutier'' has only been in use since the 13th century. Two charters by Charlemagne to the bishop of Paris, Eschenradus gave the chapter of Notre Dame de Paris the possession of the church of Andrésy. When the parish of Jouy was created the chapter of Andrésy became its owner. There is no known nomination at the parish of Jouy before 1186. In 1250 the parish of Vauréal was created from part of the parish of Jouy. Once again it was the chapter of Notre Dame de Paris who chose the first vicar of Jouy. Éragny (; sometimes unofficially called Éragny-sur-Oise ) is a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. Neuville-sur-Oise
Neuville-sur-Oise () is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department, in the northwest suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the "new town" of Cergy-Pontoise, created in the 1960s. Neuville-sur-Oise is a rather anonymous village between Jouy-le-Moutier and Cergy inside the last meander of the river Oise. Forty years after the creation of Cergy-Pontoise, the village has retained its bucolic atmosphere and there has been little construction of large scale residential developments. Société De Transport Interurbains Du Val D'Oise
The Société de Transport Interurbains du Val d'Oise, or ''STIVO'', is the bus company operating urban buses in Cergy-Pontoise in the département of Val-d'Oise, France. The company was created in 1974 by Cars Giraux and Cars Lacroix with the task of transporting the increasing population of the new town of Cergy-Pontoise. In the 1990s, the company sold its services under the StAN. The StAN's line were numbered 4xx along with the bus line numbering scheme in Île-de-France. In 1994, the StAN created two new lines, 434N and 434S, orbiting the new town and serving most of the peripheral communes, and introduced a new livery of turquoise and light blue with a new logo in the shape of an N, symbolising the meander of the river Oise around which the city is built. On 17 September 2004, STIVO introduced a new livery.
