Centro Iqueño
Centro Iqueño is a Peruvian football (soccer), football club, located in the city of Lima. It was founded on October 12, 1935 and plays in the Copa Perú, which is the third division of the Peruvian league. History The club was the 1957 Peruvian Primera División champion. The club has played at the highest level of Peruvian football on twenty four occasions, from 1942 Peruvian Primera División until 1969 Torneo Descentralizado, when it was relegated. The 1960 season of the Peruvian Primera División, or the Peruvian Football Championship, the top category of Peruvian football (soccer), was played by 10 teams. The season was a single league table played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The champions qualified for the Copa Libertadores 1961, the first Copa Libertadores to have a Peruvian team participate. The last placed team at the end of the season was relegated.
