Central Medical College (CeMeC) () is a private medical school in Bangladesh, established in 2005. The campus of the college is located beside the Dhaka–Chittagong Highway at Paduar Bazar, Bishaw Road in Cumilla Sadar Dakshin Upazila, in the Cumilla District of Chittagong Division. It is affiliated with University of Chittagong, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Bangladesh) and Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year or two-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. In Bangladesh, a medical school is referred to as a medical college. Allopathic related medical education at the graduate level are provided by medical colleges. The colleges are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), and are affiliated with a university in the respective region. They however have to be recognized after meeting a set criterion by a central regulatory authority called Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC). Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher
Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher (; born 1958) is a Bangladeshi politician and former Member of Parliament for the Comilla-12 constituency in seventh parliamentary elections from 2001 to 2006 in Bangladesh. He is a member of Central Working Committee of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and its International Affairs secretary. Career Later, Taher was selected as Secretary General of the Islami Chatra Shibir and finally led the organisation as its Central President for two consecutive terms during 1985-86 and 1986–87.
