Central Coast Mariners Academy
The Central Coast Mariners Academy (CCMA) is the youth system of Central Coast Mariners FC based in , Australia. The academy teams play in the National Premier Leagues NSW competition, the top flight of the NPL NSW system. Senior players occasionally play in the academy side, as in the case when they're recovering from injury. Lucas Vilela is the current academy first grade coach. They train at the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence and play their home games at Pluim Park. Academy team history First Academy (2012–2014) Central Coast Mariners Academy was formed as a joint venture between the Mariners and Central Coast Football to provide a junior development pathway to the NYL and A-League sides. In sporting terminology, a youth system (or youth academy) is a youth investment program within a particular team or league, which develops and nurtures young talent in farm teams, with the vision of using them in the first team if they show enough potential. In contrast to most professional sports in the United States where the high school and collegiate system is responsible for developing young sports people, most football and basketball clubs, especially in Europe and Latin America, take responsibility for developing their own players of the future. Mathew Ryan
Mathew David Ryan (born 8 April 1992) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for club Lens and captains the Australia national team. Born in Sydney, Ryan played youth football for Marconi Stallions, Blacktown City and Central Coast Mariners. He made his senior debut for Blacktown before moving to the Mariners' senior squad in 2010. In 2013, Ryan moved to Club Brugge, where he played for two years before joining Valencia. Ryan made his senior international debut in 2012, and has since established himself as Australia's first-choice goalkeeper, effectively succeeding his childhood idol Mark Schwarzer. Josh Nisbet
Joshua Nisbet (born 15 June 1999) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays for Roda JC and the Australia national team. He can play in several positions including defensive midfield, winger, attacking midfield or as a forward. Club career Central Coast Mariners Nisbet made his professional debut for the Central Coast Mariners on 1 August 2018 in a FFA Cup match against Adelaide United, starting the game before being replaced at the second-half by Peter Kekeris. Garang Kuol
Garang Mawien Kuol (born 15 September 2004) is a professional soccer player who plays as a winger for club Newcastle United. Born a South Sudanese refugee in Egypt, he plays for the Australia national team. Early life Kuol was born on 15 September 2004 in an Egyptian refugee camp, to South Sudanese parents Mawien and Antonietta Kuol. His family fled their war-torn home in South Sudan to Egypt before eventually settling in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia in 2005. Bernie Alpha Ibini-Isei (born 12 September 1992), also known simply as Bernie Ibini, is a professional football player who plays as a striker or a winger, and most recently played for Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors. Born in Nigeria, Ibini-Isei represented Australia internationally. Mitchell Duke
Mitchell Thomas Duke (born 18 January 1991) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for club Machida Zelvia and the Australia national team. Duke was born in Liverpool, New South Wales and played youth soccer with Parramatta Eagles before starting his professional career with Central Coast Mariners. Anthony Caceres
Anthony Richard Caceres (; born 29 September 1992) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Sydney FC and the Australia men's national team. Career Central Coast Mariners Caceres made his A-League debut for the Central Coast Mariners in the F3 Derby against the Newcastle Jets, starting in a scoreless draw in January 2013. The Football NSW 2019 season was the seventh season of football in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues. The competition consists of four divisions across the state of New South Wales. Wollongong Wolves, as the Premiers of the NPL NSW Men's 1, qualified for the national finals, where they became the champion of the 2019 National Premier Leagues, and in doing so received an automatic spot in the 2020 FFA Cup. Due to a restructure of Men's and Boys' competitions for the 2020 season, this was the last season that the Club Championship determined the teams for promotion and relegation. The Football NSW 2015 season was the third season of football in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues. The competition consisted of four divisions across the state of New South Wales, excluding those regions affiliated with the Northern NSW Football federation. Blacktown City were Premiers of the 1st Division, and qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series.
