Central Coast Lightning
Central Coast United FC, is a semi-professional soccer club, based and located on the Central Coast of New South Wales. For the 2024 season, the club's senior teams will compete in the NSW League Two competitions and the clubs youth team will compete in NSW League Three competitions. Senior team history In 2017, the club applied and was granted a licence to compete under from the start of the 2018 season. In both the 2018 and 2019 season, Club Captain Daniel McFarlane won NSW State League Player of the Year. In the club's first season they narrowly lost out on promotion by a single point, an incredible achievement in their first season. The club emphatically bounced back to secure the Grand Final Championship with a victory over Bankstown United. The 2019 season saw Central Coast United again be successful as in July 2019, the club secured promotion to National Premier Leagues NSW 3 with a 3–1 victory over Prospect United in their 2nd ever season. 2019 Football NSW Season
The Football NSW 2019 season was the seventh season of football in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues. The competition consists of four divisions across the state of New South Wales. Wollongong Wolves, as the Premiers of the NPL NSW Men's 1, qualified for the national finals, where they became the champion of the 2019 National Premier Leagues, and in doing so received an automatic spot in the 2020 FFA Cup. Due to a restructure of Men's and Boys' competitions for the 2020 season, this was the last season that the Club Championship determined the teams for promotion and relegation. 2018 FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds
The 2018 FFA Cup preliminary rounds was the qualifying competition to decide 21 of the 32 teams which took part in the 2018 FFA Cup Round of 32, along with the 10 A-League clubs and reigning National Premier Leagues champion, Heidelberg United. The preliminary rounds operated within a consistent national structure whereby club entry into the competition was staggered in each federation, with the winning clubs from Round 7 of the preliminary rounds in each member federation gaining entry into the Round of 32. All Australian clubs were eligible to enter the qualifying process through their respective FFA member federation, however only one team per club was permitted entry in the competition. The 2023 Football NSW season is the 11th season of soccer in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues. The season was the first under the revamped format which consists of three senior divisions in the state of New South Wales. Promotion and relegation were utilised for the first time after three years and the finals series was voided for this year, meaning the top-ranked team is awarded champion status. The Football NSW 2020 season was the eighth season of football in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues. The competition consists of four divisions across the state of New South Wales. All NPL and grassroots competitions were suspended for one month due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, effective 18 March to 14 April, and further extended until at least the end of May. The Waratah Cup is a knockout cup competition in New South Wales, run by the governing body of football in NSW, Football NSW.
