''Central Affairs'' (情陷夜中環) is a 2005 TV series produced by Hong Kong's Asia Television in 2005. Directed by Wong Jing, and starred Patrick Tse and Michelle Ye Michelle Ye or Ye Xuan (born 14 February 1980) is a Chinese actress and producer. She is best known for her roles in, '' Eternal Happiness'', '' Triumph in the Skies'', and ''Lost in the Chamber of Love''. Her most notable role was in the 2009 ..., the series focused on the morality of the insurance business. It had a spin-off series in 2006, titled ''Central Affairs 2 ( 情陷夜中環2)'', also directed by Wong Jing. In 2005, the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong Limited (香港人壽保險從業員協會) filed a complaint with the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority ( 香港影視及娛樂事務管理處) about some scenes in the series. Asia Television
Asia Television Limited (, also known as ATV) is a digital media and broadcasting company in Hong Kong. Established as the first television service in Hong Kong as Rediffusion Television () on 29 May 1957, it shifted to terrestrial television on 30 November 1973, and was renamed Asia Television on 24 September 1982. ATV operated two main over-the-air channels: the Cantonese-language ATV Home and the English-language ATV World. Despite its relatively small market share, ATV received numerous awards for its programmes. One of its successes was the local version of the British game show '' Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'' in 2001, which allowed ATV to enjoy a short-term upturn in its viewing figures. Wong Jing
Wong Jing ( born 3 May 1955) is a Hong Kong film director, producer, actor, presenter, and screenwriter. A prolific filmmaker with strong instincts for crowd-pleasing and publicity, Wong Jing played a prominent role in Hong Kong cinema during the 1990s. Biography Wong was born in Hong Kong, the son of noted film director Wong Tin-Lam. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese literature which he describes as "useless" (Yang, 2003). Like many Hong Kong film figures of his time, Wong began his career in television – in his case, scriptwriting for local juggernaut TVB beginning in 1975 (Teo, 1997). He moved on to writing for the Shaw Brothers studio. There, he made his directing debut with ''Challenge of the Gamesters'' (千王鬥千霸) in 1981. Patrick Tse
Patrick Tse Yin (born Tse Ka-yuk; 9 August 1936) is a Hong Kong actor, producer, screenwriter and director in Hong Kong cinema. Biography Patrick Tse began his acting career in the 1950s and remained active for the next 40 years. He is a versatile and popular actor, usually playing the leading male roles. Michelle Ye
Michelle Ye or Ye Xuan (born 14 February 1980) is a Chinese actress and producer. She is best known for her roles in, '' Eternal Happiness'', '' Triumph in the Skies'', and ''Lost in the Chamber of Love''. Her most notable role was in the 2009 film Accident, in which she won the 2010 Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. Ye has worked as an on-site reporter for TVB at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. In 1999, she won the Miss Chinese International competition. Apart from her acting career, she is the owner and chairman of the production company Michelle Ye Studios-Zhejiang Bohai Television Ltd, an owner of a sushi restaurant, and the Vice President of the Hengdian Film Association.
