Celso Brandão
Celso Brandão (born 1951 in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil) is a photographer who also directed a few documentaries. He can always be found at his headquarters in Carababa Beac just a few minutes from the city center. Some of his work belong the Pirelli Collection of 1996 Coleção PirelliBiography of Celso Brandão. Retrieved November 29, 2007. He has also received several awards at the Festival do Cinema Brasileiro de Penedo in the years 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979 and 1980. At the moment his is back doing a few documentaries and teaching photography at Federal University of Alagoas. Maceió
Maceió (), formerly anglicised as Maceio, is the capital and the largest city of the coastal state of Alagoas, Brazil. The name "Maceió" is an Indigenous term for a Spring (hydrology), spring. Most maceiós flow to the sea, but some get trapped and form lakes ("lagoas", in Portuguese). There are numerous maceiós and lakes in this part of Brazil; because of this, the city was named Maceió, and the state, Alagoas. The new Zumbi dos Palmares International Airport connects Maceió with many Brazilian cities and also operates some international flights. The city is home to the Federal University of Alagoas.
