Asterix Kieldrecht
Asterix Avo is a Belgian women's volleyball club based in Kieldrecht (Beveren). The team was founded in 1969 as . By the end of the 1980s, the team climbed to the highest level of women's volleyball in Belgium. The club won its first trophy in 1996, when Datovoc Tongeren was defeated in the Belgian cup final. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Basic play The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship
The 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the (FIVB). The Netherlands and Poland were dual hosts for this event. Serbia women's national volleyball team, Serbia won their second title for the consecutive edition, beating Brazil women's national volleyball team, Brazil in straight sets. Italy women's national volleyball team, Italy took the bronze medal defeating USA women's national volleyball team, USA. Tijana Bošković was again the recipient of the MVP award of the tournament. 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship
The 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 29th edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted by Netherlands and Belgium from 26 September to 4 October 2015. The championship managers were the Dutch Olympic gold volleyball medalist Peter Blange and the former Belgian volleyball player Virginie De Carne. Russia defeated Netherlands 3–0 in the final to capture their 19th title, while Tatiana Kosheleva was elected most valuable player back to back.
