The Lebanon women's national football team represents Lebanon in international women's football. The team is fielded by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the governing body of football in Lebanon, and competes as a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Lebanon competed in their first international match on 19 April 2006, a 12–0 defeat against Algeria at the 2006 Arab Women's Championship. The Lebanon women's national football team, nicknamed "the Lady Cedrus libani, Cedars" (), represents Lebanon in international Women's association football, women's football. Established in 2005 and governed by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the team has yet to qualify for the FIFA Women's World Cup or the AFC Women's Asian Cup but has achieved notable milestones in regional competitions. Sandy Abi-Elias
Sandy Patricia Abi-Elias (; born 10 May 1997) is a former footballer who played as a forward. Born in England, Abi-Elias played for the Lebanon national team in 2018. Abi-Elias played for various youth clubs in England, most notably Arsenal and Chelsea. She made her senior debut in 2014 with Watford, before playing for Bristol Academy, Swindon Town, and Keynsham Town. Club career Abi-Elias started her youth career at Fulham in 2007, before moving to AFC Wimbledon in 2011. After one year, Abi-Elias moved to Arsenal, winning the 2012–13 FA Girls Youth Cup, before joining Chelsea in 2013, staying there one year. The Lebanon national football team has used footballers Lebanese diaspora, born outside Lebanon throughout its history with varying success. As a result of the dominance of clubs founded by the Armenian diaspora in Lebanon, between the 1940s and 1960s the national team heavily featured Lebanese players of Armenian origin. The established presence of Armenians in the team led the Lebanese Football Association (LFA) to Naturalization, naturalise several Armenian players born in Armenia during the 1990s to play internationally for Lebanon. Most notably, Vardan Ghazaryan was the national team's leading top goalscorer. Nadia Assaf (; born 30 September 1985) is a Lebanese football manager and former player who played as a midfielder and a centre forward. She is also a former futsal player, and represented Lebanon internationally in both football and futsal. Evelina Ghassan El Haddad (; born 30 April 2005) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for French club GPSO 92 Issy. International career El Haddad was called up to the Lebanon under-15 squad for the 2019 WAFF U-15 Girls Championship in Jordan. Nathaline Karkour Gilinguirian (; born 12 April 1986) is a Lebanese football coach and former football and futsal player. She represented Lebanon internationally in both football and futsal. Club career Gilinguirian played football and futsal for Shabab Arabi in 2012, SAS in 2017, and Zouk Mosbeh in 2018. She has played for Beirut Football Academy (BFA) since 2018.
