Celest Chong
Celest Chong is a Singaporean actress, singer and former cover model. Education Chong studied at Yishun Junior College. Career Chong began her acting career as a secretary in Eric Khoo's ''Stories about Love'' performing a Turkish inspired belly-dance. She also sang the show's theme song, "Sorry, My Love". Later, she moved on to Channel 5's sitcom, ''Making Love'', in which she played a sultry receptionist named Pamela. She later played the character of a child social worker in the Channel 8 television drama, ''You Light Up My Life''. She sang the theme songs for the new show, which were on Singapore's top music charts for four weeks. In 2001, Chong signed with Universal Music and launched a solo album ''Belong to Myself''. In December 2002, her second album ''Celest'', was released in Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) was one of Singapore's two state media companies, which published ''The Straits Times'', numerous other newspapers and operated radio, television and digital media. In 2021, the media division was spun off as SPH Media, leaving behind the property and aged care businesses. Since its takeover by Cuscaden Peak in 2022, it has been renamed Cuscaden Peak Investments. At its peak, SPH had over 4,000 employees. Its team of approximately 1,000 journalists included correspondents operating around the world. 2,500 of the staff, including the journalists and its media business were subsequently transferred to SPH Media. Malcolm McLaren
Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren (22 January 1946 – 8 April 2010) was an English fashion designer and music manager. He was a promoter and a manager for punk rock and new wave bands such as New York Dolls, Sex Pistols, Adam and the Ants, and Bow Wow Wow, and was an early commercial architect of the punk subculture. McLaren was brought up by his grandmother after his father, Peter, left the family home. He attended several British art colleges in the 1960s, where he became involved in underground art and left-wing activism. From 1974 to 1976, he operated the Chelsea boutique Sex with his girlfriend Vivienne Westwood, which helped shape early punk fashion and became an early hub for the subculture in London.
