Cefn Cribwr Football Club () is a Welsh football team based in Cefn Cribwr, Bridgend County Borough, Wales. They play in the . History Established in 1976 as ''Cefn Cribwr Boys Club'' by Gary Davies, the club began playing in the Bridgend & District League and were back-to-back Premier Division champions in the 1986–87 and 1987–88 seasons. They were founder members of the South Wales Senior League in the 1991–92 season, playing in the league until 2000. They again played in the Bridgend & District League, winning the Premier Division in 2013–14, and gaining promotion to South Wales Senior League for its final season in 2014–15. They joined the newly established South Wales Alliance League Division Two in 2015–16, and after finishing third in the 2016–17 season, were promoted to Division One, where they finished their first season in the division as champions, gaining promotion to the Premier Division. Cefn Cribwr
Cefn Cribwr is a village and community in Bridgend County Borough in south Wales. The village is located about 5 miles (8 km) from the centre of Bridgend town, and in-between Bridgend and Pyle. Description The village is situated on a ridge (as the name suggests) between Pyle (3 km to the west) and Aberkenfig (4 km to the east). Cefn Cribwr, as a community, recorded a population of 1,546 in the 2001 Census, reducing to 1,481 at the 2011 Census. The community centre, locally known as the Green Hall, was opened in 1924 and originally conceived as a Miners' Welfare Hall; it was supported by colliery owners and colliers. Many political meetings were held there. Labour politician and former Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald spoke there in the closing weeks of the General Strike of 1926. The Ardal Leagues are a association football, football league in Wales. The word "ardal" translates as "district" in English, with Wales split into four regions at this level. They have clubs with amateur/semi-professional status and sit at the third level of the Welsh football league system. The first year of their operation would have been 2020–21 but the 2020–21 Ardal NE, 2020–21 Ardal North East season, 2020–21 Ardal NW, 2020–21 Ardal North West season, 2020–21 Ardal SE, 2020–21 Ardal South East season and 2020–21 Ardal SW, 2020–21 Ardal South West season were all cancelled. Blaenrhondda is a village in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, lying at the head the Rhondda Fawr valley. Blaenrhondda is a village and is part of the community of Treherbert. History The earliest evidence of people inhabiting the area are the remains of an Iron Age settlement of several roundhouses grouped together in an obvious community, known as Hen Dre'r Mynydd. The dry wall layout of the ruinous site has led archaeologists to believe that the people who lived in the area were early farmers. It has been identified as the largest undefended Iron Age settlement in south east Wales. Before the industrialisation of the Rhondda Valleys in the late 19th century, Blaenrhondda was an agricultural area and sparsely populated.
