Cedric Itten
Cedric Jan Itten (born 27 December 1996) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for Swiss club Young Boys and the Switzerland national team. Club career Youth football Itten started his youth football with FC Black Stars Basel in 2003, before moving to BSC Old Boys a year later. In February 2007 he moved on to the youth department of Basel and played in their U-18 team and their U-21 team. Itten was a part of FC Basel's 2013–14 UEFA Youth League campaign. Basel Itten signed a three-year junior professional contract on 21 August 2015 and joined Basel's first team for their 2015–16 season under head coach Urs Fischer. After playing in two test games, Itten played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game in the St. Jakob-Park on 21 February 2016 as Basel won 5–1 against Vaduz. 2013–14 UEFA Youth League
The 2013–14 UEFA Youth League was the first season of the UEFA Youth League, a European youth club football competition organised by UEFA. It was contested by the under-19 youth teams of the 32 clubs qualified for the group stage of the 2013–14 UEFA Champions League. The final was played on 14 April 2014 at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon, Switzerland, between Benfica and Barcelona. The 2017–18 Swiss Cup is the 93rd season of Switzerland's annual football cup competition. The competition started on 12 August 2017 with the first games of Round 1 and ended on 27 May 2018 with the final. FC Basel were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by BSC Young Boys. The 2017–18 FC Basel season was the 125th season in club history and the club's 23rd consecutive season in the top flight of Swiss football. Basel were the reigning Swiss Super League champions. Cornaredo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lugano, Switzerland. It is used mostly for football matches. It is a home ground of FC Lugano. The stadium is able to hold 15,000 people and was built in 1951. The stadium has 5,000 seats and 10,000 standing places. During the 1954 FIFA World Cup, it hosted one game. Birkir Bjarnason (born 27 May 1988) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Süper Lig club Adana Demirspor and the Iceland national football team, where he is their all-time leader in appearances. Club career Viking FK Birkir started playing football with local clubs in his hometown of Akureyri. His family moved to Norway in 1999 and he joined the youth teams of Figgjo. In the summer of 2005 Birkir joined Viking. In the 2006 season he scored his first goal for Viking against Hamarkameratene.
