Cedarview Road (Ottawa)
Cedarview Road (Ottawa Road #23) is a north–south road in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It runs between Bells Corners and Barrhaven. Formerly a major arterial road for Barrhaven residents, its use declined after the opening of Highway 416 in 1999. Cedarview Road begins in the north at Baseline Road, near the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Prior to the opening of Highway 416, it ran south, passing Bell High School. It has since been re-aligned eastward to make room for a corridor for the highway; the original portion of Cedarview Road that accesses the school has been renamed Cassidy Road. Continuing southward, Cedarview Road intersects with West Hunt Club Road, formerly Knoxdale Road. Also at this intersection is an interchange with Highway 416. Just south of the intersection is a sharp S-curve following the curve of Highway 416, which has been considered dangerous and has resulted in some car crashes. In the field of road transport, an interchange (American English) or a grade-separated junction (British English) is a road junction that uses grade separations to allow for the movement of traffic between two or more roadways or highways, using a system of interconnecting roadways to permit traffic on at least one of the routes to pass through the junction without interruption from crossing traffic streams. It differs from a standard intersection, where roads cross at grade. Borrisokane Road (Ottawa)
Borrisokane () is a town in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is situated at the junction of the N52 and N65 national secondary roads. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 942. The Ballyfinboy River flows through the town on its way to Lough Derg, to the west. It is also a civil parish in the historical barony of Ormond Lower and an Ecclesiastical parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. History During the Norman invasion of Ireland, the area now known as Borrisokane was the property of the O'Carrolls of Ely who claimed to be descendants of the '' Clan or Cian'' or the ''Cianacht''. The O’Kennedys were another significant ruling family, owning tower houses in the surrounding townlands. Barnsdale Road (Ottawa)
Barnsdale, or Barnsdale Forest, is an area of South and West Yorkshire, England. The area falls within the modern-day districts of Doncaster and Wakefield. Barnsdale was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. Barnsdale lies in the immediate vicinity north and northwest of Doncaster, and which was formerly forested and a place of royal hunts, and also renowned as a haunt of the outlaw Robin Hood in early ballads. Boundaries and features of Barnsdale Barnsdale historically falls within the West Riding of Yorkshire. Strandherd Drive (Ottawa)
Strandherd Drive is a major road serving the community of Barrhaven in southwest Ottawa. Realignment and extension Up until the mid-1990s, Strandherd Drive was an east-west coursing road extending from Moodie Drive to Woodroffe Avenue. With the introduction of Highway 416 and the growth of Longfields and Chapman Mills, Strandherd Drive has been realigned and has seen an increase in traffic. Standherd Drive begins in the west at an intersection with Fallowfield Road near Highway 416 as a two-lane road. The original portion of the road from Moodie Drive to Cedarview Road has been renamed McKenna Casey Drive and sees little traffic.
