Cedar Valley Jaguars
The Cedar Valley Jaguars were a minor league basketball team based in Waterloo, Iowa. The team competed in the International Basketball League (2005-06). History Originally named the Waterloo Kings, the franchise was forced by the NBA's Sacramento Kings to change their name. The Jaguars were owned by Eddie Diaz. The team played home games their first season at three arenas: UNI West Gym, Columbus High School, and Young Arena. All home games for the 2006 season were played at Young Arena. The team's first IBL season was a disappointment on and off the court, finishing with a 3-14 record (ninth of the nine-team West Division). The Kings were led in scoring by Nelson Maisonet (21.4 ppg) and were coached by Anthony Thomas. International Basketball League
The International Basketball League (IBL) was a semi-professional men's basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. In 2010 the Albany Legends became the first team in the Northeastern United States to join. The IBL also sometimes featured teams from China and Japan which temporarily relocated to the United States for the IBL season. The IBL season typically ran from the end of March through July. Columbus High School (CHS), also known as Columbus Catholic High School, is a Catholic high school in Waterloo, Iowa, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dubuque and is part of the Cedar Valley Catholic School system. Young Arena is a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Waterloo, Iowa, United States, and was built in 1994. It is home to the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League, the Waterloo Warriors of the Midwest High School Hockey League, the Waterloo Youth Hockey Association, the University of Northern Iowa Hockey Club, the Waterloo Adult Hockey Association and the Cedar Valley Figure Skating Club. Timothy Duane Hardaway Sr. (born September 1, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player.
