Brooklyn Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. The population was 14,373 at the 2010 census. Geography Brooklyn Park is located at (39.224857, −76.612655) on the northern edge of Anne Arundel County and borders the city of Baltimore along its southern boundary of 1919. The CDP is bordered as well by Interstate 695 (the Baltimore Beltway) to the south, by Maryland Route 648 (Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard) to the west, and by the Patapsco River, which forms the Anne Arundel County/Baltimore County boundary, to the northwest. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which is land and , or 1.65%, is water, consisting largely of the Patapsco River and associated wetlands. Cedar Hill Cemetery (Hartford, Connecticut)
Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue. It was designed by landscape architect Jacob Weidenmann (1829–1893) who also designed Hartford's Bushnell Park. Its first sections were completed in 1866 and the first burial took place on July 17, 1866. Cedar Hill was designed as an American rural cemetery in the tradition of Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The cemetery straddles three towns. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, in Hartford, Newington, and Wethersfield. It includes the Cedar Hill Cemetery Gateway and Chapel, also known as ''Northam Memorial Chapel and Gallup Memorial Gateway'', which is separately listed on the NRHP. Cedar Hill Cemetery (Maryland)
Cedar Hill Cemetery, previously known as Forest Lake Cemetery, and also formerly Nonesuch Plantation, is a cemetery located in Suitland, Maryland. History Following a series of land purchases starting in 1890, Forest Lake Cemetery was chartered and opened in 1895, but by 1913 few bodies were buried there. In 1913, after going bankrupt in the wake of a failed 1908 sale to a developer, of the Forest Lake Cemetery were sold to form the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Over time, the cemetery was expanded, and it is now over in size. The oldest tombstone reads "Philenia W. Patte, Nov. 19, 1871, 58 years". From 1936 to 1938, Dionicio Rodriguez, a Mexican builder and artist, built six pieces in concrete at Cedar Hill, most using a ''faux bois'' technique to make them resemble wood. Cedar Hill Church And Cemeteries
The Cedar Hill Church and Cemeteries are located in historic Rockbridge County, Virginia. The small log church, which also served as a schoolhouse, was built in 1874 evoking the history of Rockbridge County's African American community. The land was given by a white farmer named John Replogle and transferred to” Trustees for the Colored Baptist Congregation” A cemetery was established behind the church, marked today by a scattering of field stone memorials. Because of the rocky ground, a new cemetery was laid out at a separate location around 1890 and is still in use. The Cedar Hill congregation was formed shortly after the Civil War. It consisted of African Americans that basically worked and lived on white-owned farms. The meetings were held in a log dwelling southwest of the present church.
