Cecilia Reyes
Cecilia Reyes is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Scott Lobdell and Carlos Pacheco, the character first appeared in ''X-Men'' (vol. 2) #65 (June 1997). She belongs to the subspecies of humans called mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities. Raised in the Bronx by her Puerto Rican family, she is a medical doctor specializing in trauma surgery. She has the mutant ability to project a force field around her body. Unlike most X-Men, she has no interest in superheroics and desires only to live an ordinary life, having been forced into the team by circumstance. In American comic books published by Marvel Comics, a mutant is a human being that possesses a genetics, genetic trait called the X-gene. It causes the mutant to develop Superpower (ability), superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Human mutants are sometimes referred to as a human subspecies ''Homo sapiens superior'' or simply ''Homo superior''. Excalibur (comics)
Excalibur is a superhero group appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are depicted as an offshoot of the X-Men, usually based in the United Kingdom. Conceived by writer Chris Claremont and artist/co-writer Alan Davis, they first appeared in ''Excalibur Special Edition'' #1 (1987), also known as ''Excalibur: The Sword is Drawn''.
