According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 964,169 people, making it the sixth-most populated city in the nation and the most populous in the Visayas and the Central Visayas Region. Metro Cebu
Metropolitan Cebu, or simply Metro Cebu (; ), is the main urban center of the province of Cebu in the Philippines. Metro Cebu is located along the central eastern portion of the island including the nearby island of Mactan. It accounts for 19.9 percent of the land area and 61.5 percent of the population (2020 census) of the entire province of Cebu. Metro Cebu is a metropolitan area that consists of Cebu City (the capital of Cebu and the regional center of Central Visayas) along with twelve surrounding cities and municipalities. Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral
The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu in Cebu City, Philippines. The church is dedicated to Mary, mother of Jesus, Mary, under her title, Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and to Saint Vitalis of Milan. Cebu was established as a diocese on August 14, 1595. It was elevated as a metropolitan archdiocese on April 28, 1934, with the dioceses of Roman Catholic Diocese of Dumaguete, Dumaguete, Roman Catholic Diocese of Maasin, Maasin, Roman Catholic Diocese of Tagbilaran, Tagbilaran, and Roman Catholic Diocese of Talibon, Talibon as suffragans. Cebu Strait (Tagalog language, Tagalog: ''Kipot ng Cebú''; also Bohol Strait) is a strait in the Central Visayas region in the Philippines. Geography The Cebu Strait (and its 3 channels, the Mactan Channel, Mactan, the Olango Island Group, Olango, & the Hilutangan Channel, Hilutangan) connects the western part of the Bohol Sea with the Camotes Sea, and separates the island Provinces of the Philippines, provinces of Cebu and Bohol. BRP ''Cebu'' (PS-28) was a of the Philippine Navy. She was originally built as USS ''PCE-881'', a for the United States Navy during World War II and patrolled the Alaskan coast during that war. She was decommissioned from the U.S. Navy and transferred to the Philippine Navy in July 1948 and renamed RPS ''Cebu'' (E-28) after the Cebu, Philippine province of the same name. The ship was decommissioned on 1 October 2019. Along with other World War II-era ships of the Philippine Navy, ''Cebu'' was considered one of the world's oldest fighting ships during her active service. USS ''Cebu'' (ARG-6) was a ''Luzon''-class internal combustion engine repair ship that saw service in the United States Navy during World War II. Zebu
The zebu (; ''Bos indicus''), also known as indicine cattle and humped cattle, is a species or subspecies of Bos taurus, domestic cattle originating in South Asia.
