''Caviar'' () is a 2019 Austrian comedy film directed by Elena Tikhonova. The premiere took place on January 17, 2019, as part of the Max Ophüls Prize film festival in Saarbrücken, where the film won the Audience Award for Feature Film. The Austrian cinema release took place on June 13, 2019. The film was released in cinemas in Germany on July 4, 2019. The film was first broadcast on ORF (broadcaster), ORF on July 9, 2021. Plot Nadja, hailing from Russia, resides in Vienna, employed as an interpreter for the oligarch Igor. Elena Tikhonova
Elena Tikhonova (born June 1, 1977) is a film director, screenwriter, editor. Since 2000, Tikhonova lives and works in Vienna, Austria. Tikhonova was born in Obninsk, RSFSR. She studied at Moscow's film university VGIK, specializing in cinematography for both feature and documentary films. Her directorial debut came with the 2001 VGIK student film "Goodnight, constructor!", an experimental short, which she co-directed with Natalya Mitroshina. Tikhonova also served as the film's cinematographer. Its soundtrack, composed entirely of noise music by Vsevolod Grechenev, earned a diploma at the "Saint Anna" film festival. Filming began in Russia in 1998, and editing was completed in Austria. Elena Tikhonova met her future husband, cinematographer Dominik Spritzendorfer, in 1997 when they both studied at VGIK. Ibiza Affair
The Ibiza affair (), also known as Ibiza-gate, was a political scandal in Austria involving Heinz-Christian Strache, the former vice chancellor of Austria and leader of the Freedom Party (FPÖ), as well as Johann Gudenus, formerly a deputy leader of the Freedom Party. The scandal was triggered on 17 May 2019 by the publication of a secretly recorded video, which was commissioned by Iranian-born lawyer Ramin Mirfakhrai (), of a meeting in Ibiza, Spain in July 2017, which shows then opposition politicians Strache and Gudenus discussing their party's underhanded practices and intentions. In the video, both politicians appeared receptive to proposals by a woman calling herself Alyona Makarova, who was posing as a niece of Russian businessman Igor Makarov, discussing providing the FPÖ with positive news coverage in return for government contracts.
