Lady Catherine Jones
Lady Catherine Jones (1672 – 14 April 1740) was an English philanthropist, interested in women's rights and education, and chose to be buried with her long-time friend, Mary Kendall (8 November 1677 – 4 March 1710), inside Westminster Abbey. Biography Lady Catherine Jones was the daughter of Richard Jones, 1st Earl of Ranelagh, and Elizabeth (d. 1695), daughter of Francis Willoughby, 5th Baron Willoughby of Parham. Her sister, Elizabeth, married John FitzGerald, 18th Earl of Kildare. Her twin sister Frances (1672–1715) married Thomas Coningsby, 1st Earl Coningsby. Her brothers, Edward (1675–1678) and Arthur, died young. Catherine Frederica "Cathy" Jones (born April 6, 1955) is a Canadian actress, comedian and writer. She is known for her work for 28 years on the Canadian television series '' This Hour Has 22 Minutes''. Jones left the show in 2021. CODCO Jones was born in St. John's, Newfoundland. Katie Jones is an American politician and engineer who is the member-elect of the Minnesota House of Representatives for district 61A in Minneapolis, succeeding Frank Hornstein. Jones is a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor party. She will be sworn in on January 14, 2025. Katherine Elizabeth Jones (born 1972) is a British biodiversity scientist, with a special interest in bats. She is Professor of Ecology and Biodiversity, and Director of the Biodiversity Modelling Research Group, at University College London. She is a past chair of the Bat Conservation Trust. Education Jones graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds in 1993 and with a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey in 1998. ''Katie.com: My Story'' (later renamed ''A Girl's Life Online'' after a domain name dispute) is a memoir by American author Katherine Tarbox. The book was published by Dutton in April 2000. Synopsis The book chronicles a life changing event in the author's life while growing up in New Canaan, Connecticut. At the age of 13, Tarbox met an older man in an internet chat room, which led to a secret online relationship and, several months later, a meeting in a Texas motel where she was molested. The incident was interrupted by her mother and hotel security who were informed of the secret meeting by a friend of Tarbox. Her attacker, Francis Kufrovich, was sentenced to 18 months in prison but the ordeal left Tarbox feeling emotionally abandoned. Reception The title of the book was originally intended to be ''Girl.com'' but was changed to ''Katie.com'' despite that domain name already belonging to a British chat room operator, Katie Jones, who was using it for her personal website.
