Catedral (district)
Catedral is a Districts of Costa Rica, district of the San José (canton), San José canton, in the San José Province, San José province of Costa Rica, it is one of the four administrative units that form San José, Costa Rica, San José downtown properly. Toponymy The district receives its name because of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph (San Jose), Cathedral and the Catholicism, catholic Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica, Archdiocese of San José, the only archdiocese in the country which lies between its boundaries, along with several other government buildings. Geography Catedral has an area of km2 and an elevation of metres. Catedral is on the center-east of the canton, and has a small portion of boundary with Montes de Oca Canton at its eastern part.
