Udayan Prasad (born Sevagram, 4 February 1953) is an Indian-born British television and film director. He is best known for his films ''Brothers in Trouble'' (1995) and ''My Son the Fanatic'' (1997), the latter based on a short story by Hanif Kureshi. Life Udayan Prasad was born in Sevagram, Maharashtra, India in 1953, and grew up on an ashram. He came to Britain when he was nine. He started studying archaeology at Birmingham University, but left to study graphic design at Leeds Polytechnic, where he started filmmaking. Peter Medak (born Medák Péter, 23 December 1937) is a Hungarian-born film director and television director of British and American productions. Early life Born in Budapest, Hungary, he was the son of Elisabeth (née Diamounstein) and Gyula Medak, a textile manufacturer. His family was Jewish.
