Cassandra Kirkland
Cassandra Kirkland (13 October 1984 – 30 April 2017) was a French professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour and won the Sanya Ladies Open in 2012. Biography Born in Paris to an American father and French mother, Kirkland studied at the University of Arizona from 2002–2006. She was related to American racing car driver Eddie Cheever. Amateur career Kirkland played golf from the age of seven and was semi-finalist in the Girls Amateur Championship in 2001. As a member of the Arizona Wildcats women's golfers at University of Arizona, she won the UNLV Invitational and was a member of the NGCA All American Team in 2005. She was All-PAC 10 Team and won the Golfstat award for par-five scoring leader in 2004 and 2005. Holly Nielle Aitchison (born 13 September 1997) is an English rugby union player for Bristol Bears Women. She has played international representative rugby at the World Cup, Olympic Games, and Six Nations Championships. 2005 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2005 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Karlstad Golf Club in Karlstad, Sweden. It was the 24th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Karlstad Golf Club was founded in 1957. The first nine holes of the course, situated 8 kilometres north of the city center of Karlstad, the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden, was designed by Nils Skiöld and opened in 1959. The second nine holes opened in 1968. Another nine holes, designed by Sune Linde, was completed in 1989 and made it possible to combine two of the three different nine hole courses for an 18 hole round, with par 72 on all available combinations. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. The 2013 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through November 2013 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Ladies Asian Golf Tour
The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is a women's professional golf tour that was established as the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit in 1983 and known as the Kosaido Ladies Asia Golf Circuit 1987–2004 for sponsorship reasons. The tour was sanctioned by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation since its inception as an official Asian ladies' tour. By 2005 there were five established women's professional tours in the world, of which two were in Asia, namely the LPGA of Japan Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour. Japan and South Korea are two of the top three powers in women's professional golf, alongside the United States. The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is effectively a tour for the rest of Asia.
