Cassa Hotel 45th Street New York
Cassa Hotel & Residences is a 48-story building at 70 West 45th Street in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It was designed by TEN Arquitectos headed by Mexican architect Enrique Norten in collaboration with the American design firm CetraRuddy and developed by Solly Assa's Assa Properties. The building is a combination of a boutique hotel, spanning from the second to the 27th floor, and luxury condominiums from the 28th to the 48th floor. The building, originally scheduled to open in Spring 2010, opened on August 1, 2010. Enrique Norten
Enrique Norten Rosenfeld (born c. 1954), Hon. FAIA, is a Mexican architect and principal of the design firm '' TEN Arquitectos'' (Taller de Enrique Norten Arquitectos). Norten was born in Mexico City in 1954 where he graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in architecture in 1978. He obtained a Master of Architecture from Cornell University in 1980. In 1986, he founded TEN Arquitectos in Mexico City, initiating a lifelong commitment to architecture and design. In February 2008, Enrique Norten was presented with the "Excellence in Architecture and Design Award” by PODER - Boston Consulting Group Business Awards, and in 2007 obtained the “Legacy Award” from the Smithsonian Institution for his contributions to the US arts and culture. CetraRuddy Architecture is a New York City-based architecture and interior design firm, who has worked on projects in the United States, especially New York City; Europe; and the Middle East.
