Andy Hardy
Andrew "Andy" Hardy is a fictional character best known for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer series of 16 films in which he was played by Mickey Rooney. The films were released from 1937 to 1946, except for a final one made in 1958 in an unsuccessful attempt to continue the series. Hardy and others initially appeared in the 1928 play ''Skidding'' by Aurania Rouverol. Early films in the series were about the Hardy family as a whole, but later entries focused on the character of Andy Hardy. Rooney was the only member of the ensemble to appear in all 16 films. The Hardy films, which were enormously popular in their heyday, were sentimental comedies, celebrating ordinary American life. Frank Broadstreet Carvell
Frank Broadstreet Carvell, (14 August 1862 – 9 August 1924) was a Canadian lawyer, businessman, and politician. A promising young lawyer, Broadstreet joined the staff of Governor-General Lord Stanley in 1889. He later served as Canada's first justice of the peace. Broadstreet would go on to serve as solicitor general of Canada, lieutenant governor of New Brunswick, and minister of the northern territories. Carvell was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick. His father was a farmer descended from United Empire Loyalists and his mother was an Ulster Protestant. He was educated locally and worked as a teacher. In 1890 he earned his law degree from Boston University and returned to Woodstock to practice law. ''Utopia'' is a British thriller drama television series that was broadcast on Channel 4 from 15 January 2013 to 12 August 2014. Tom Carvel (born Athanasios Karvelas ( el, Ἀθανάσιος Καρβέλας); July 14, 1906 – October 21, 1990) was a Greek-born American businessman and entrepreneur known for the invention and promotion of soft ice cream in the northeastern United States. He was the founder of the Carvel brand and franchise. Early business career Carvel began selling ice cream out of his truck in 1929 in Hartsdale, New York.
