The Dodos
The Dodos are an American indie rock band, consisting of guitarist and singer Meric Long and drummer Logan Kroeber. Originating from the San Francisco Bay Area, the duo has released eight studio albums over a fifteen-year span since their formation in 2005. History The Dodos began playing music together in 2005, when musician Meric Long, who had been gigging steadily in San Francisco as a solo singer-songwriter, was introduced to Logan Kroeber through a mutual friend (a college acquaintance of Long's that happened to be Kroeber's cousin). The Dodos are a duo. Half was a student of West African Ewe drumming and intricate Blues fingerpicking guitar, the other hails from a background in heavy metal bands. ''Individ'' is the sixth studio album by indie folk band The Dodos. It was released on Polyvinyl Records on January 27, 2015. The album makes heavy use of the slide guitar of Meric Long, which was an element used in the band's embryonic days, but more sparingly on 2013's '' Carrier''. It is marked from previous efforts likewise for its lack of involvement of high-profile producer Phil Ek, who worked on The Dodos' 2009 album '' Time to Die''.
