Rudi Carrell
Rudi Carrell (born Rudolf Wijbrand Kesselaar; 19 December 1934 – 7 July 2006) was a Dutch entertainer. Along with famous entertainers such as Johannes Heesters and Linda de Mol, he was one of the most successful Dutch personalities active in Germany. He worked as a television entertainer and hosted his own show; the ''Rudi Carrell Show'' ran first in the Netherlands, and then for many years in Germany. As a singer he had a number of hits, including a Dutch version of " A Windmill in Old Amsterdam", and acted in several movies. ''Eurovision Song Contest'' Carrell represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 with the song " Wat een geluk" ("What luck"). He finished 12th out of 13, scoring just two points. George Aloysius Carrell
George Aloysius Carrell, S.J. (June 13, 1803—September 25, 1868) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as the first bishop of the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky from 1853 until his death in 1868. Early life and education George Carrell was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 1803. His grandfather, Timothy Carrell, was a native of Ireland and came to the United States before the Revolutionary War, establishing himself as a grocer on Water Street in Philadelphia. John Carrell (figure Skater)
John Carrell (January 25, 1947 – September 20, 1989), later known as John Aubrey, was an American ice dancer and ballet dancer. With partner Lorna Dyer, he was the 1967 U.S. national champion. They were the 1967 World silver medalists and 1965-1966 World bronze medalists. John was adopted by James and Helen (Baldwin) Carrell, and grew up in Seattle. His father James Carrell was a professor of speech and hearing at the University of Washington, and mother Helen (Baldwin) Carrell was a speech therapist for the Seattle public schools. After retiring from competitive skating, John graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in political science. He spent some time coaching, but decided to reinvent himself as a ballet dancer. Jordan Carrell (born June 30, 1994) is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Colorado. Early years Carrell attended Roseville High School, where he was a two-way player. He became a starter as a junior, playing center and defensive end. As a senior, he contributed to an offense that averaged 439 yards (231 rushing) and 33.4 points per game, while not allowing a quarterback sack.
