Antonio Tirol Carpio (; born October 26, 1949) is a former associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He was sworn in as member of the High Court by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on October 26, 2001, and served until his retirement on October 26, 2019. He served as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines for a period of eighteen (18) years. Jorge Carpio Nicolle (October 24, 1932 – July 3, 1993) was a prominent Guatemalan politician and newspaper publisher. He was the founder of the Unión del Centro Nacional (National Centrist Union, or UCN) in 1984, and ran as the party's candidate for president in the elections of 1985 and 1990. He came in second in both elections. He was the founder, director and editor of ''El Gráfico'', at one time one of Guatemala's largest newspapers. He also founded ''La Tarde'', ''El Deportivo'', ''La Razón'', and other newspapers during his career. Jesus Antonio Matamorosa Carpio (October 25, 1931 – May 26, 2010, sometimes referred to as J. Antonio Carpio) was a Filipino lawyer, journalist, educator, author, and army officer best known for his term as director of the Philippines' National Bureau of Investigation from 1986 to 1989, and for his earlier work in resisting the authoritarian rule of Ferdinand Marcos - first as a radio commentator prior to the declaration of Martial Law, and then later as the Regional Coordinator for Bicol of the Free Legal Assistance Group; which provided legal support to the regime's political detainees. Javier Carpio Martín (born 6 April 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right back for Palencia CF. Esteban Carpio (born July 30, 1978 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American convicted prison inmate, serving a life sentence for the murder of a policeman in 2005. He was convicted of the murder of Providence Police Detective Sgt. James L. Allen on April 17, 2005 at Providence Police headquarters. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. While Carpio was being questioned by the Providence Police for the stabbing of an 85-year-old woman, Madeline Gatta, a detective left the third-floor interview room to get water for Carpio, leaving Allen alone with Carpio. Carpio took Allen's gun and shot him twice, killing him. He then jumped out of the window and was apprehended 45 minutes later. Eduardo Manuitt Carpio (born 28 July 1950) is a Venezuelan politician. He was the co-founder of the party La Causa Radical and represented it in the Venezuelan Congress. Conchita Carpio-Morales (; born Conchita Claudio Carpio; June 19, 1941) is a former Ombudsman of the Philippines serving from 2011 to 2018. Cayetano Carpio
Salvador Cayetano Carpio (6 August 1918 – 12 April 1983), also known as Commander Marcial, was the leader of the Communist Party of El Salvador in the 1960s, until he quit the party to found the Salvadoran revolutionary political-military organization, the Fuerzas Populares de Liberación Farabundo Martí (FPL) in 1970. Carpio did this because he felt the time was right for armed revolution to end the military dictatorship in El Salvador, but the Salvadoran Communist Party was against armed struggle, instead engaging mainly in legal electoral and trade union organizing. During the 1970s, Carpio's new organization, the FPL, became the largest group on the Salvadoran left, and therefore became the predominant force among the five organizations that joined together in 1980 under the umbrella of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN).
