Carolina Mendes (surfer)
Carolina Ana Trindade Coruche Mendes (born 27 November 1987) is a Portuguese football striker, who plays for Racing Power and the Portugal women's national football team. Club career She first played for UD Ponte Frielas and SU 1º de Dezembro of the National Football Championship. She subsequently moved to Spain, where she played for UE L'Estartit and SPC Llanos de Olivenza in Spain's Primera División. In 2013, she moved to Italy's ASD Riviera di Romagna, and the next year she signed for WFC Rossiyanka in Russia. In 2016 Mendes signed a contract with Djurgårdens IF for one year. International career Mendes made her debut for the senior Portugal national team in March 2007, as a substitute in a 1–1 draw with Ireland at the 2007 Algarve Cup. Estremoz
Estremoz () is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 14,318, in an area of 513.80 km2. The city Estremoz itself had a population of 7,682 in 2001. It is located in the Alentejo region. History The region around Estremoz has been inhabited since pre-historic times. There are also vestiges of Roman, Visigoth and Muslim occupation. Rádio Renascença, also known as RR or just 'Renascença' (), is a private, commercial radio station in Portugal, owned by various organizations within the Portuguese Catholic Church: among others, the Patriarchate of Lisbon. The 2007 Algarve Cup was the fourteenth edition of the Algarve Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Portugal. It took place between 7 and 12 March 2007 with the previous year's runners-up, the United States, winning the event for a record fifth time, breaking Norway's previous record of four championships, by defeating Denmark, 2-0, in the final game. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958.
