Carole Park is an industrial suburb in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the Carole Park had a population of 4 people. Geography Since 2010, Carole Park is now only used for industrial purposes. History The suburb was not settled until the 1940s with the exception of a few farms. Carole Park State School opened on 17 September 1948. It is presently within the boundaries of the Brisbane suburb of Wacol. Electricity was provided around 1965 and mains water in 1969. The Queensland Housing Commission provided housing to residents in the 1970s. The Queensland Place Names Board designated the suburb and its name in 1972. The Shire of Esk was a local government area in South East Queensland, Australia, located about west - northwest of Brisbane. It stretched from the Lockyer Valley north and west to the Great Dividing Range and up the valley of the Brisbane River. The Shire of Moreton was a local government area in South East Queensland, Australia, located about southwest of Queensland's capital, Brisbane. Logan Motorway
The M2/M6 Logan Motorway is a 30-kilometre toll road between Ipswich and the M1 or Pacific Motorway at Loganholme, and the Gateway Motorway, providing access to the Gold Coast on the eastern seaboard and to the rural areas of the Darling Downs to the west. The M6 portion runs from the Pacific Motorway to the junction with the Gateway Motorway at Drewvale, where it then becomes the M2, continuing on to merge with the Ipswich Motorway at Gailes. Queensland Housing Commission
The Queensland Housing Commission was a Queensland Government agency which was established in 1945 under the ''State Housing Act 1945''. The agency aimed to improve the lives of individuals and families by providing access to secure, affordable and appropriate housing. One of the earliest and biggest projects undertaken by the Commission was a detached housing estate in Inala. In the Brisbane suburb of Stafford a significant number of post-war Queensland Housing Commission homes were built on quarter-acre blocks in the 1940s and 1950s. After the Second World War, the Imported Homes Scheme was initiated and funded by the Federal government.
