Carol Whitaker
Carol Whitaker (born June 30, 1982 in Saint John, New Brunswick as Carol Webb) is a Canadian curler. Career Whitaker played for New Brunswick at the 1999 Canada Games, finishing in 10th place. Whitaker played in three straight Canadian Junior Curling Championships from 2001 to 2003, all for different provinces. In 2001 she played third for Sylvie Robichaud on Team New Brunswick She was then asked to be the fifth on the Prince Edward Island team that went on to win the World Juniors. In 2002, she played second for Suzanne Gaudet on Team Prince Edward Island. This team won the Junior championship that year and followed it up with a bronze medal at the 2002 World Junior Curling Championships. In 2003 she played third for Jennifer Guzzwell on Team Newfoundland and Labrador. After juniors, Whitaker played in New Brunswick with Kathy Floyd and then with Sandy Comeau. Saint John is a seaport city of the Atlantic Ocean located on the Bay of Fundy in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. Rebecca Atkinson (curler)
Rebecca "Becky" Atkinson (born July 17, 1982) is a Canadian lawyer and curler from Rothesay, New Brunswick. Career Juniors Her first appearance at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships was in 2000 in Moncton, New Brunswick. She was selected from the spare pool for Teams New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador throughout the week. Her second and final trip to the championships was in 2003, this time as skip of her own team. She finished the round robin in seventh place, with a 6–6 record. Women's Atkinson participated at the 2009 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, where she skipped her own squad. She would not make the playoffs that year, finishing sixth place with a 3–4 record, but would return again to the 2011 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, where she would finish round robin in first place with a 5–2 record. Suzanne Gaudet
Suzanne Birt (born Suzanne Gaudet on October 2, 1981 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors Birt, a skip, is a two-time Canadian Junior Champion (2001, 2002) and a former World Junior Curling Champion (2001). She also won a silver medal at the 1995 Canada Games. Birt had attended the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Canadian Juniors before finally winning it. At the 2001 World Juniors, she defeated Matilda Mattsson's Swedish rink for the gold. The following year she would win the bronze. 2003–2011 In 2003, Birt qualified for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts for the first time. Her team had an impressive tournament, going 10–1 in the round-robin, only to lose both their playoff games. Sandy Comeau
Sandy Comeau (born October 5, 1964) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a three-time New Brunswick Scotties champion. Career Comeau made her first Scotties appearance in 1993 playing second for Nancy McConnery at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts. The team included Leanne Perron and Denise Cormier as well. They finished with a 2–9 record, only beating Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec. Comeau would not return to the national championship until 2005 where she skipped her own team. New Brunswick would qualify for the tiebreaker and would upset Team Canada's Colleen Jones before losing to Ontario's Jenn Hanna in the second round. Comeau appeared at the 2006 Canada Cup of Curling where her team made the 3 vs 4 page playoff game before losing to Jennifer Jones.
