Carmelo Lazatin Sr.
Carmelo Feliciano "Tarzan" Lazatin Sr. (June 28, 1934 – December 12, 2018) was a Filipino politician and businessman who served as the Representative of the first district of Pampanga from 2007 to 2013; he previously served in the same position from 1987 to 1998. He also served as the 29th City Mayor of Angeles City from 1998 to 2007. Early life and education Lazatin was born on June 28, 1934, in the then-municipality of Angeles in Pampanga to future provincial governor Rafael Lazatin and Loreto Feliciano. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Santo Tomas, graduating in 1954. Political career Lazatin was member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines representing the 1st district of Pampanga from 1987 and 1998. From 1998 to 2007, he was Mayor of Angeles City. Carmelo Lazatin II
Carmelo Bautista Lazatin II (; born June 4, 1970) also known as Jon Lazatin, is a Filipino politician who is serving as the 16th and current representative for Pampanga's first district since 2016. He is the mayor-elect of the city of Angeles having won the 2025 Angeles City local elections. In February 2025, Lazatin was one of the 95 Lakas–CMD members who voted to impeach vice president Sara Duterte. The Kapampangan people (), Pampangueños or Pampangos, are the sixth largest ethnolinguistic group in the Philippines, numbering about 2,784,526 in 2010.
