Carlton D. Everhart II
Carlton Dewey Everhart II (born June 17, 1961) is a retired United States Air Force General (United States), general, who served as the commander of Air Mobility Command. He was previously Commander, Third Air Force and commanded Eighteenth Air Force. Everhart is a 1983 graduate of Virginia Tech and received his commission through Air Force ROTC. He is a command pilot with more than 4,500 flight hours. Everhart has served in varying aircrew assignments in the C-130E, Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, C-17A and C-21A. Everhart retired effective November 1, 2018 after more than 35 years of active duty service. Military career Everhart's first assignment in February 1984 was as a student at Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base. Selfridge Air National Guard Base
Selfridge Air National Guard Base or Selfridge ANGB is an Air National Guard installation located in Harrison Township, Michigan, near Mount Clemens. Selfridge Field was one of thirty-two Air Service training camps established after the United States entry into World War I in April 1917. 17th Airlift Squadron
The 17th Airlift Squadron was most recently one of four active duty Boeing C-17A Globemaster III units at Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. The squadron was first activated during World War II as the 17th Air Corps Ferrying Squadron, redesignating as the 17th Transport Squadron a few months later. Until disbanding in 1943, it transported cargo and ferried aircraft in the Pacific. The squadron was again activated in 1945 as the 17th Air Transport Squadron in 1954 at Charleston. The 50th Air Refueling Squadron is a unit of the US Air Force, assigned to the 6th Operations Group, 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. It operates the Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft conducting air refueling missions. It is a former USAF C-130H squadron that was inactivated in April 2016.
