Carlsberg Cup (Northern Ireland)
The Carlsberg Cup was a football competition played for two seasons between clubs in the Irish League in 1972-73 and 1973-74. Held at the beginning of each season, it consisted solely of twelve Irish League clubs in the first season, and in the second season it consisted of twelve Irish League Clubs and four B Division teams. The Irish Football Association (IFA) is the governing body for association football in Northern Ireland. It organised the Ireland national football team (1882–1950), Ireland national football team from 1880 to 1950, which after 1954, became the Northern Ireland national football team. The Crusades were a series of religious wars initiated, supported, and at times directed by the Papacy during the Middle Ages. Portadown F
Portadown ( ) is a town in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The town is based on the River Bann in the north of the county, about southwest of Belfast. It is in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area and had a population of about 32,000 at the 2021 Census. For some purposes, Portadown is treated as part of the "Craigavon Urban Area", alongside Craigavon and Lurgan. IFA Premiership
The NIFL Premiership, known as the Sports Direct Premiership for sponsorship purposes, and Irish Premiership colloquially, is a professional association football league which operates as the highest division of the Northern Ireland Football League – the national league in Northern Ireland. The NIFL Premiership was established as the IFA Premiership in 2008 under the auspices of the Irish Football Association as the successor to the Irish Premier League, before the Northern Ireland Football League was created for the start of the 2013–14 season.
