Spain Women's National Field Hockey Team
The Spain women's national field hockey team represents Spain in international women's field hockey competitions. It is controlled by the Royal Spanish Hockey Association, the governing body for field hockey in Spain. Spain is one of six national teams to have been crowned Field hockey at the Summer Olympics, olympic champions, tournament they have qualified consistently since Field hockey at the 1992 Summer Olympics - Women's tournament, 1992. Women's Hockey World Cup
The Women's FIH Hockey World Cup is the field hockey World Cup competition for women, whose format for qualification and the final tournament is similar to the men's. It has been held since 1974. The tournament has been organized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) since they merged with the International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations (IFWHA) in 1982. Since 1986, it has been held regularly once every four years, in the same year as the men's competition, which is mid-cycle between Summer Olympic games. Of the fourteen tournaments held so far, only four teams have won the event. Netherlands is the most successful team, having won the title nine times. Argentina, Germany and Australia are joint second best teams, having each won the title twice. So far, the Netherlands and Australia are the two champions able to defend their titles. The 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup was the 14th edition of the Women's Hockey World Cup, a field hockey tournament. It was held from 21 July to 5 August 2018 at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London, England. Defending champions the Netherlands won the tournament for an eighth time after defeating Ireland 6–0 in the final, who claimed their first World Cup medal. The Women's EuroHockey Championship is an international women's field hockey competition organized by the European Hockey Federation (EHF) for the top eight European national teams. It is the top division of the EuroHockey Championships. The inaugural tournament took place in 1984 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship, 1984. 2019 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2019 Women's EuroHockey Championship was the 14th edition of the Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the biennial international women's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held alongside the men's tournament from 17 to 25 August 2019 in Antwerp, Belgium. The tournament also served as a direct qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo olympics, with the winner qualifying.
