Carlos San Basilio Pardo
Carlos San Basilio Pardo (born 23 September 1965) is a Spanish economist and civil servant serving as chairman of the National Securities Market Commission since 2025. From 2010 to 2012, he served as director-general of :es:Cofides, Cofides. In 2012, he served as :es:Dirección General del Patrimonio del Estado, director-general of state assets. He served as Directorate-General for the Treasury, director-general of the Treasury from 2016 to 2018, and as :es:Secretaría General del Tesoro, secretary-general of the Treasury from 2018 to 2021. From 2020 to 2021, he served as vice president of the Economic and Financial Committee (European Union), Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union. The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) () is the Spanish government agency responsible for the financial regulation of the securities markets in Spain. It is an independent agency that falls under the Ministry of Economy (Spain), Ministry of Economy. History The CNMV was established in 1988 as part of a major reform of Spanish financial sector with the passing of law 24/1988 also known as the "Stock Market" act.
