Carlos Alonso Vargas Tenorio (born 14 February 1999) is a Mexican professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Full-back, left-back for Liga MX club Cruz Azul. Club career Tijuana In 2014, Vargas first joined Club Tijuana, Tijuana's Club Tijuana Reserves and Academy, youth academy. In 2017, first-team coach Miguel Herrera promoted 18 year-old Vargas to the team competing in that year’s Clausura tournament. On 17 March 2017, Vargas made his debut against Santos Laguna. He started the match and played all 90 minutes in a 1–1 draw. He made twelve appearances as Tijuana finished the tournament in first place and managed to reach the semifinals of the playoffs. The CONCACAF Champions Cup, formerly known as CONCACAF Champions League (2008–2023), is an international association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its top continental tournament for clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Copa MX, also known as Copa Corona MX for sponsorship reasons, was an association football competition in Mexico and the domestic cup tournament for clubs at the highest and second levels of Mexican football league system.
