He played from 1967 through 1970 for the Chicago White Sox and Washington Senators of Major League Baseball (MLB). Listed at 6' 3", 205 lb., Carlos batted and threw right handed. Dionardo Bernardo Carlos (born May 8, 1966, in Lucena, Philippines) is a Filipino police officer who served as the 27th Chief of the Philippine National Police from November 13, 2021, up to May 8, 2022, after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56. John Carlos
John Wesley Carlos (born June 5, 1945) is an American former track and field athlete and professional football player. He was the bronze-medal winner in the 200 meters at the 1968 Summer Olympics, where he displayed the Black Power salute on the podium with Tommie Smith. He went on to tie the world record in the 100-yard dash and beat the 200 meters world record (although the latter achievement was never certified). After his track career, he enjoyed a brief stint in the Canadian Football League but retired due to injury. He became involved with the United States Olympic Committee and helped to organize the 1984 Summer Olympics. Following this, he became a track coach at Palm Springs High School. Wendy Carlos (born Walter Carlos; November 14, 1939) is an American musician and composer known for electronic music and film scores. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Carlos studied physics and music at Brown University before moving to New York City in 1962 to study music composition at Columbia University. Studying and working with various electronic musicians and technicians at the city's Computer Music Center, Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center, she helped in the development of the Moog synthesizer, Robert Moog's first commercially available keyboard instrument.
