Carlo Carfagna (born 1940 in Guarcino, Italy) is an Italian classical guitarist, author of many musical publications. His musical education took place at the Conservatory of Rome and Naples, under the guidance of Mario Gangi, and was subsequently a teaching colleague for many years at Santa Cecilia. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. A plectrum or individual finger picks may also be used to strike the strings. The sound of the guitar is projected either acoustically, by means of a resonant chamber on the instrument, or amplified by an electronic pickup and an amplifier. The guitar is classified as a chordophone – meaning the sound is produced by a vibrating string stretched between two fixed points. Domani Musica
"Domani" (Italian for "tomorrow") is a 1955 song written by Ulpio Minucci with lyrics by Tony Velona. The melody is based on the intermezzo from the comic opera I Quattro Rusteghi by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari. The most popular version of the song was recorded in 1955 by Julius LaRosa, released by Cadence Records as catalog number 1265. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on July 13, 1955 and lasted 7 weeks on the chart, peaking at #13. The song was rendered in French - retaining the title "Domani" - by Renée Lebas; a Finnish rendering: "Huomenna", was recorded by Maynie Sirén. Another song of the same name was released by the Twilight Singers on the "Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair" EP and on Greg Dulli's 2005 album ''Amber Headlights''. Gian Paolo Chiti (born 21 January 1939 in Rome) is an Italian composer and pianist. After beginning his studies in piano, violin and composition at the age of four, he made a series of appearances as a child prodigy before entering the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy's most important music school, at the age of ten. His principal teachers include Carlo Zecchi, and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (private and masterclass studies). Fratelli Fabbri Editori is an Italian publishing house founded in 1947 by the brothers Giovanni, Dino and Ettore 'Rino' Fabbri. Today Fabbri forms part of Rizzoli Libri, which in turn is 100% controlled by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore Origins Coming from a family of small bourgeois merchants Forlivesi, the brothers Fabbri started with little more than a love for art and culture inherited from their father Ottavio Fabbri. Jon Fratelli (born John Paul Lawler; 4 March 1979) is a Scottish musician and singer-songwriter, best known for his work with the band The Fratellis. Alongside his work with The Fratellis, Lawler has played in a band called Codeine Velvet Club and as a solo artist. Early years Lawler hails from Cumbernauld, but later moved to Glasgow.
