Carley Fortune is a Canadian writer from Toronto, Ontario, most noted for her 2023 novel ''Meet Me at the Lake''. A journalist who has been a contributor and editor for ''Refinery29'', '' The Globe and Mail'', ''Chatelaine'' and ''Toronto Life'', she published her debut novel ''Every Summer After'' in 2022. ''Meet Me at the Lake'' followed in 2023; the book made the bestseller lists in both Canada and the United States, and attracted widespread press when it was optioned by Archewell, the production firm of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, for development as a film.
