The Carleton Place Jr. Canadians are a Junior ice hockey team based in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (CCHL2). The team was initially founded in 1980 as the ''Clarence Beavers'' based in Clarence, Ontario who played in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League. History In 2008, the strangest events took place during the Eastern Ontario Junior B Hockey League playoffs opening round against the Ottawa West Golden Knights. Clarence won the series 4-3, but game 7 was voided and had to be replayed because of an officiating error. Clarence Beavers fans dubbed the replay game 7 as "Game 8". Ottawa West won the replayed game and the series 4-3. The series loss was a bitter pill to swallow for the Clarence Beavers hockey club. Carleton Place is a town in Eastern Ontario, Canada, in Lanark County, about west of downtown Ottawa. It is located at the crossroads of Highway 15 and Highway 7, halfway between the towns of Perth, Almonte, Smiths Falls, and the nation's capital, Ottawa. The Valley Timberwolves are a Canadian junior ice hockey team from Renfrew, Ontario. They played in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League until the league was re-branded the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 (CCHL2) 2015. History The Renfrew Jr. B Timberwolves came into existence in 1968 as the Renfrew Lions, sponsored by The Renfrew Lions Club and captured their first Eastern Ontario Championship that year. Benoît Robert Pouliot (born September 29, 1986) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger who most recently played for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers. Pouliot was originally drafted by the Wild fourth overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
