Carl Wenig
Carl Bogdanovich Wenig or, in German, Carl Gottlieb Wenig (Russian: Карл Богданович Вениг; 26 February 1830, in Tallinn – 6 February 1908, in Saint Petersburg) was a Baltic-German painter of historical and religious scenes. For many years, he was a professor at the Imperial Academy of Arts. Biography His father, Gottlieb (1804-1874), was a music teacher and organist at St. Nicholas' Church. Tallinn () is the most populous and capital city of Estonia. Agrippina Fedorovna Chelyadnina
Agrippina Fedorovna Chelyadnina (floruit, fl. 1538), was a Russian noble and courtier, the royal governess of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. Agrippina was the daughter of Fyodor Vasilyevich Obolensky (called Telepen), and sister of Ivan Fedorovich Telepnev-Obolensky who was a favourite of Elena Glinskaya. She married a Boyar in the service of Vasili III of Moscow. The marriage was childless, as Fydor died between 1516 and 1518. Due to the status of her husband and relitives, Agrippina enjoyed an elite position amongst other courtiers. She was appointed governess to Ivan in 1533, before Vasili's death, after which Elena took Agrippina's brother as her lover and ruled as regent. After the death of Elena Glinskaya, 20 April 1838, boyars Ivan and Vasili Shuysky, Shuisky staged a coup, arresting Agrippina and her brother. She was exiled to Kargopol forced to become a nun.''G. Baltic Germans (german: Deutsch-Balten or , later ) were ethnic German inhabitants of the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea, in what today are Estonia and Latvia. Since their coerced resettlement in 1939, Baltic Germans have markedly declined as a geographically determined ethnic group. However, it is estimated that several thousand people with some form of (Baltic) German identity still reside in Latvia and Estonia.
